This situation comedy, produced for children, portrays the misadventures of offbeat tenants in an office building. Among them is Rosie, founder of Zonk Productions, a low-budget film production service. Rosie's partner, an English actor named Dudley, joins her in her often afoul projects. The fanciful, naive, rather inept Dwayne is the building's elevator operator. Two other tenants are Ralph, a slick door salesman, and Myrna, a scatterbrained caterer.

Inside Rosie's mind she sees herself as beautiful, intelligent and fun. To society though, she is seen only as autistic. Rosie is determined to break through the stereotype of her condition and the communication barriers "U" and "I" take for granted.

Coming Up is a British Channel 4 television series of films made for television by new directors and writers.The first series was in 2006, and each year's series comprises seven or eight films. Series 6 was shown from July to September 2011. A reviewer in The Independent wrote: "Thank goodness for Coming Up ... it's a genuinely interesting display of possibilities".
